(Grade 10 Students)

Strength and honor makes a comeback at Divine Light Academy as the newly-found KALASAG Batch of 2019 – 2020, guided by Sir Leomar A. Acosta, composed of all the Grade 10 students, undergo the mandatory Citizenship Advancement Training (CAT), more active and committed than ever.

The cadets and the officers don their complete uniforms as they perform their duties in school. As parts of their obligations, the cadets are required to participate in community service, may it be by standing their posts by the gates during the mornings and afternoons to assist, or to participate in helping at school events with the supervision of the officers and the training director.

Through the program, the students are able to have a background of the military life, as they learn more about awareness of their own community, survival skills, first aid, and how to assess emergency situations. Each cadet is sharpened and tested to their fullest, with corresponding merits given for every service. Because of the constant commitment of the cadets to these services for the school, they will then be ready if ever the required ROTC will be approved for the incoming Grades 11 and 12.

If you ever spot the cadets performing their duties as they greet you by the gates, don’t be hesitant to greet back, offer a smile, or even ask for assistance.
