Celebrating the day of love with a twist, the students of Divine Light Academy spent February 14, Valentine’s Day, with educational activities.

As a yearly practice, the students are required to wear a red shirt to pair with their jogging pants, exclusively for the celebration.

For this year, Divine Light Academy has prepared a special program for the students of Grade 9 and Grade 10 in which, acting like a Valentine’s Day gift, is an educational program about K-12 and general career planning.

Led by Mr. Jose Marie Flores, Assistant Director for Communication at GuidanceNGO, ANCPAG, a developmental career orientation program designed for high school students and parents, discussed the various tracks and strands that will be available in Senior High School, as well as the careers each track and strand is designed for.

ANCPAG highlighted the truths about the K-12 implementation, and how it will benefit us and generations to come, especially when a student has big dreams and has the desire to work abroad. Being an eye-opener, the program encouraged many students to have a bigger goal to reach, instead of settling for small future achievements.

In line with this, the Senior High School students also prepared booths open to all, promoting their strands (STEM, ABM, HUMSS) which may help the Junior High School students know more about the available strands in the school, letting each student know which strand is most suited to them.
